Uniform Requirements

For many years, the Western Maine Board has specified the standard jersey for this board to be the old collegiate (NISOA) grid jersey

However, that jersey is no longer being made and is next to impossible to purchase. 

Many of our members went out in recent years and bought the "new" shirt that NISOA jersey that came out five years ago:

However, the NCAA has now specified a new jersey for use in collegiate games in the future:

It is likely that both NISOA jerseys ("old" and "new") are already, or will soon be, obsolete. With that in mind, and based on recent discussions and decisions at MASO, the Western Maine Board now recommends to all new officials that, if they don't already have it, purchase the USSF jersey. For the 2023 season, officials are allowed to use whatever jerseys they have, but please make every effort to match with the other official, especially at the varsity level.

FOR THE 2024 SEASON, ALL OFFICIALS ARE REQUIRED TO USE THE USSF JERSEY VARSITY GAMES. YELLOW IS THE PRIMARY COLOR, WITH PINK AS THE ALTERNATE. 

You may purchase either the Pro jersey (with a zipper) or the Match jersey (no zipper, sometimes called the economy or Elite jersey, depending on which company you purchase it from). The primary color is gold, with pink being the alternative. Preferably a shirt without a USSF patch.
