History

        Proposed in 2010, by then board President George Ayoob, that the board have a charity committee. The committee would research and each season the committee will select an appropriate charity or scholarship and the board will make a donation to that charity. The Charity Committee will keep track of those who donate, and we will publish the list of names on the WMBASO web site.

        Each year, the committee picks a date at random between the first countable HS game and the end of the HS regular season (Monday through Saturday only).  Participation is on a voluntary basis. If our members choose to participate, then they have 2 options:

        1) One can sign over the game check one earns on that date to WMBASO, and get it to one of the Charity Committee members;

        2) One can write a personal check for any other amount, and turn it over to a Charity Committee member.
